Airport Transfer Zurich, Geneva & Basel – Premium Chauffeur Service

Premium airport transfers from Zurich, Geneva & Basel airports. Fixed prices, meet & greet, free flight tracking. Book BLACKTRANSFER 24/7.

Getting off a long-haul flight, clearing customs with heavy luggage, and then hunting for a taxi rank is nobody's idea of a smooth arrival. A professionally arranged airport transfer removes every element of that friction — a suited chauffeur is waiting for you in the arrivals hall, your vehicle is cool in summer and warm in winter, and the rate you agreed at booking is the rate you pay. BLACKTRANSFER operates premium chauffeur and limousine transfers to and from all three major Swiss international airports: Zurich (ZRH), Geneva (GVA), and Basel EuroAirport (BSL). Service runs around the clock, every day of the year.

The Three Swiss International Airports

Zurich Airport (ZRH)

Zurich Kloten is Switzerland's largest and busiest airport, handling flights from across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond. It sits roughly 13 kilometres north of the Zurich city centre, and depending on traffic — particularly during morning and evening rush hours on the A1 motorway — a private transfer takes between 20 and 45 minutes to the Bahnhofstrasse or the hotel district around Bellevue. For onward journeys to Zug, Lucerne, or the Graubünden mountains, the airport is a natural gateway: positioned at the heart of the Swiss motorway network, it connects effortlessly to every direction of the country.

BLACKTRANSFER chauffeurs meet arriving passengers in the official arrivals hall of Terminal 1, holding a personalised name sign. The meeting point is clearly signposted after baggage reclaim and customs.

Geneva Airport (GVA)

Geneva Aéroport sits just four kilometres from the city centre, making it the closest major Swiss airport to its corresponding city. Despite that proximity, the transfer is rarely as quick as it sounds: Geneva's road network around Meyrin and the Rue de Lausanne corridor can be congested, particularly on weekday mornings. The airport straddles the French border and has a separate French-side exit (Genève-Ferney) used by some passengers whose final destination is in France — worth noting when booking your transfer so the correct pick-up point is arranged.

For ski-season clients heading to Verbier, Crans-Montana, or Zermatt, Geneva is often the preferred entry point, as it shaves considerable distance compared with flying into Zurich.

Basel EuroAirport (BSL/MLH/FKB)

Basel EuroAirport is a genuinely unusual facility: it sits on French soil, in the commune of Saint-Louis, yet has separate Swiss and French immigration zones within the same terminal building. Passengers arriving on intra-European flights and destined for Basel city — approximately six kilometres away — or for Swiss clients heading north-west, often prefer this airport for its compact, efficient layout. Art Basel, the international art fair, brings a significant influx of collectors and gallery directors through BSL each June; WEF-adjacent delegates sometimes route through here as well.

What Is Included in Every Airport Transfer

BLACKTRANSFER's airport transfers are all-inclusive fixed-price bookings. There are no surprises at the end of the journey.

  • Meet & greet with name sign — your chauffeur will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign bearing your name (or your company name, if preferred), from the moment you clear customs.
  • Free flight tracking — the booking system monitors your flight in real time. If your flight lands early or late, your chauffeur adjusts automatically. You do not need to call anyone or update your booking.
  • 60 minutes free waiting time — calculated from the actual landing time, not the scheduled one. This covers normal passport control and baggage reclaim without any additional charge.
  • Luggage assistance — your chauffeur helps with bags from the moment of meeting to the vehicle boot and, on arrival at your destination, to your door.
  • Wi-Fi, water, and phone chargers — all vehicles carry complimentary still water, in-car Wi-Fi, and USB/USB-C charging cables.
  • Fixed, all-inclusive pricing — the price confirmed at booking includes VAT, motorway tolls, parking at the airport, and waiting during the free period. No surge pricing, no hidden extras.

The Fleet

Every vehicle in the BLACKTRANSFER fleet is Swiss-registered (Zurich ZH plates), maintained to the highest standard, and driven by a uniformed, professional chauffeur. Options range from the understated elegance of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class (ideal for one or two travellers with standard luggage) to the Mercedes-Benz V-Class for groups of up to seven, and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class or Bentley Flying Spur for clients who require the highest level of automotive luxury. The Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes GLS are available for those who prefer a larger SUV format — well suited to ski-season transfers with bulky equipment.

How to Book Your Airport Transfer

Booking with BLACKTRANSFER is straightforward and takes only a few minutes.

  1. Provide your journey details — flight number, arrival airport, number of passengers, luggage, destination address, and preferred vehicle class.
  2. Receive a fixed-price confirmation — once your booking is confirmed, the price is locked in. No surprises at the end.
  3. Add special requests — child seats, extra stops, early-morning or late-night pickups, corporate invoicing, or preferred onboard refreshments can all be arranged at this stage.
  4. Your chauffeur tracks your flight automatically — from this point, everything is monitored. If your flight is delayed, diverted, or arrives ahead of schedule, your chauffeur is informed and adjusts accordingly.
  5. Arrive and be met — in the arrivals hall, look for the BLACKTRANSFER name sign. Your chauffeur will help with luggage and walk you to the vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book my airport transfer?

For standard routes, 24–48 hours' notice is usually sufficient. During high-demand periods — WEF in Davos (January), Art Basel (June), major trade fairs at Messe Zurich, and the Alpine ski season (December to March) — availability is tighter and booking several days or weeks in advance is strongly recommended.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

BLACKTRANSFER tracks all incoming flights in real time using the flight number provided at booking. Your chauffeur's schedule adjusts automatically. You do not need to call or notify anyone. The 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time is counted from your actual, revised landing time — not the original scheduled arrival.

What if I have oversized luggage, skis, or sports equipment?

Please mention any oversized items — ski bags, golf bags, bicycles, prams, musical instruments — when making your booking. Your dispatcher will recommend the appropriate vehicle and confirm whether any supplementary equipment handling is required.

Can I request a child seat?

Yes. Infant seats, child seats, and booster seats are available on request. Please specify the age and approximate weight of the child when booking so the correct seat type can be fitted.

Is the price truly fixed? Are there any extra charges?

The price quoted at confirmation is final and all-inclusive: it covers VAT, Swiss motorway tolls (vignette), airport parking, and up to 60 minutes of free waiting. Extra waiting beyond that 60-minute window, additional stops not included in the original booking, or a significant change of destination may incur a supplementary charge, which is always discussed transparently before it is applied.

Do you provide receipts for corporate expense claims?

Yes. A detailed VAT receipt is provided for every journey. Corporate clients can set up an account and receive consolidated monthly invoices — a popular arrangement for law firms, banks, and international businesses with frequent travel requirements in Switzerland.

Can you transfer multiple passengers arriving on different flights?

Yes, with advance coordination. BLACKTRANSFER can organise multiple simultaneous or sequential airport pickups, including group arrivals spread across different terminals or airlines. Speak to the team directly to plan the logistics.

Do you serve the French side of Basel EuroAirport?

Yes. Clients departing from or arriving on the French side of BSL can be accommodated. Please specify at booking which exit you will be using so the correct meeting point is confirmed.
